The valve with position detection is possible to be used in categories 3 and 4 according to ISO 13849 in order to reach a Performance Level (PL) of the control system up to PL = e. On its own, the valve with position detection is not a safety component and is not a complete safety solution. It is designed to increase the diagnostic coverage (DC) of the control system.
